HoPe Board of Directors Tina Owen, Maureen Muldaur and Marta Rallis

It’s not everyday that we get to participate in an extravaganza that celebrates dogs, their owners and dog-owners-to-be. This past Sunday, HoPe’s Founder & CEO Tina Owen, Director Maureen (Moe) Muldaur and Treasurer Marta Rallis womanned the HoPe booth at Woofstock 90210. It was a fun and exciting day for everyone involved…thanks to all of you who stopped by in support!

Amidst an endless horizon of wagging tails of all shapes and colors, something even more wonderful was obvious on this day: Dogs and humans form a unique bond and anyone who is lucky enough to experience the bond will say their Fido is a truly special member of the family and should be treated like one.

Tina, Mo and Marta shared the HoPe booth with the wonderful and generous people from iDOGGiEBAG and New Breed Chef, new friends of HoPe’s and the creators of healthy treats for dogs and their owners to enjoy together. After tasting these we can surely vouch for their deliciousness. Thanks for the samples, Linda!

Be sure to “Like” iDOGGiEBAG to learn where you can find these dog/human treats or to support their cause: Promoting food safety and the timely dissemination of food recall announcements for both pets and people. We hope to see them again at the next doggie function.

A big “THANK YOU!” to both Bill Crowe of Pets90210 and Cindy Brynan from the City of Beverly Hills. We hope to see you both in 2013! And an extended “THANK YOU” from Tina to Marta and Moe for their time, energy and continued enthusiasm.

Stay tuned for news as we’re closing in on securing a permanent location for our HoPe clinic. And if you haven’t already, please be sure to “Like” us on Facebook too!

Hello HoPe Veterinary Center. As soon as I saw this website, I immediately became excited. First let me introduce myself. My name is Turea Jones originally from Santa Rosa, CA. I currently am a senior at Kennesaw State University in Kennesaw, Ga. I also am the Spring 2013 Intern for Homelessness Awareness Week here on campus. I have been trying to take this program to another level. The program focuses mainly on homeless people in the community and students that are also homeless. As an animal lover and an aspiring Veterinary Assistant, I wanted to incorporate the two. Being from the San Francisco area, there are a lot of homeless people on the streets, not to mention a number of them have animals by their side. I often wondered, how they are caring and feeding themselves and their furry loved one. I love what you guys are doing with the organization. One of my projects is to make a quick video and interview people that are homeless and have animals. Either people that have had to give them up or people that are taking care of them everyday considering their circumstances. I would love to hear back from you. With suggestions, advice, anything would be great! Thank you
